Things are starting to look pretty good at Whistler. It's hard to believe that just one week ago it was 26c.

There are many things to thank Sweden for... Kaj Zackrisson, Jon Olsson, lots of beautiful ladies, and of course, ABBA! Here we are celebrating the latter as best we could last night.

There is fresh snow on the peaks around Whistler and the weather is getting cooler by the day. My buddy Kevin Fogolin dragged me away from the computer and out for an epic 4 hours of single track in the rain this morning. Good times!

One of the tough things about producing a TV series is making sure you get every shot you need on location. Of course, it doesn't always work out that way. Today I had to fake a transition to set up a shot on one of the episodes of Freeski TV. The first person to identify the faked shot (post your guess in the comments of my blog) in this season's Salomon Freeski TV will win some sweet new 09/10 prototype gear from my personal collection.
Good luck!

Johnny Decesare, Bruno Bertrand, and Stephen Horton in full party mode after 'Reasons' took home top honors out of 18 ski films that played at the IF3. Level 1's 'Turbo' was also great and got the crowd fired up last night. Major props to Felix Rioux and his team for putting on a great weekend.

The ski movies are dropping which means the ski season is just around the corner. The International Freeski Film Festival kicked off on Thursday night with the Salomon 10 years of teneighty party and continues through Monday. A very nice crop of new ski films were shown last night with Tanner hall's Massive being the highlight for me so far. I'll send out an honorable mention to Theory-3 for their new movie "Journal" -- most impressive. Ten more films will be shown today, followed by the newschooler awards tonight.

This has been my life since I got back from Chile. The teaser for season 2 of Salomon Freeski TV is set to launch in a week and I am frantically trying to get all the shows ready to go. Lot's of work, but I'm excited about what we're bringing to the internet this winter.

Since I arrived home from Chile the weather here at Whistler has been much more like October than August. I've been trying to take a photo that shows that, but none can compare to these that were sent to me today. These shots were taken a couple of hours north of Whistler.

We finally made it and it was worth the wait. Nothing but powder snow and blue sky.
